Cadbury Tournament 2007

RESULTS:

The Cadbury Squash Tournament took place at Riverside Gloucester last weekend. This event, which has been kindly sponsored by Anne Cadbury for many years, excludes the top five County boys in each age group and all the County champion girls.
For many of the younger players this is their first tournament outside their own club, and the scene was set for a happy event when upon arrival they were each presented with a Cadbury’s Easter egg. With a large entry of 70 players in 10 different categories every child was guaranteed at least three matches, giving them plenty of experience and many close encounters.
Gloucestershire is a leading county nationally in the squash world with all of our current stars and county champions starting out at the Cadbury tournament. There was some excellent squash played, particularly by the older boys, who would probably be part of a ‘first team’ in many other counties. The results of the finals, playing the best of five games, are as follows:
