Alicia Mead, 3/4 seed, looked likely to take the girls under 17 final to five sets when serving at 10-5 in the fourth, but top seed Eleanor Lake had other ideas. She won the next seven points to become English Junior Champion with a 3-1 win in 36 minutes.
LAKE has since been picked to represent England at the European Championships at under 17 in Finland and under 19 in Poland.
